{Scanlation} Hoshikuzu Gakuen C Course (ch2)

Hi everyone,

We apologize for the immense delay. Our translator and leader, Penelope Lane, has been battling a stubborn cold that refuses to go away—no matter how much she tries to sleep it off or combat it with strict doses of cold medicine. The weather here has been pretty whack (cold one day and blistering hot the next), so it’s very easy to catch something these days. Fall is here, after all, so everyone please bundle up before you leave your homes for the day.

Also, Penelope has been trying to get a bunch of translating done before we start to release again—it’ll keep us from falling behind again, she reasons. We’re far enough ahead for C Course that we can put out a new chapter. Just a heads up, we are still in the midst of ordering the second and final volume—it isn’t available on Ebook Japan, which is where we usually get our raws so we are looking for alternatives.

Anyway, enjoy this new chapter and hopefully we will have a new one for Akuyaku Cinderella out soon as well. I know we promised a double release for Sumikko no Sora-san for the Labour Day weekend, which didn’t work out at all… but we will follow through with the double release in the next few weeks.

Reasons for Delay

Hi everyone! It’s been a while since we’ve released anything and, since we know how eager some groups can be to swoop in and take over projects, we thought it’d be a good idea to release a statement. 

The reason we haven’t been putting out any releases is because, well, we have none. Translating takes such a toll and there’s so much of it to do while not enough hands to divide them into. All three of us are doing our best to do mass translations on the weekends (as we have school / work that prevents us from doing much on the weekdays). 

This means we are all trying to get at least 1 or 2 chapters done each weekend but it hasn’t been going too well. We are hoping to get started on this and really being strict with ourselves about it. Hopefully we will see a release within the next two weeks. 

Please be patient with us while we get our schedules sorted out! We really appreciate your support and understanding! 

{Scanlation} Sumikko no Sora-san (ch14)

Thanks everyone for your patience. Sumikko no Sora-san is finally making headway. We’re also planning on releasing more chapters for the Labour Day weekend—it’ll be a multiple chapter release, so stay tuned!

{Scanlation} Akuyaku Cinderella (ch1)

Another new series! This one is pretty short, just a volume, so we’re not expecting anything too radical. However, it does seem like it’ll be fun while it lasts. We are also planning on releasing another chapter of Sumikko no Sora-san soon, so stay tuned for that. As for Akuyaku Cinderella, we’ve enjoyed the first chapter so far. It’s a bit silly, but I, for one, am looking forward to seeing where it goes. Enjoy!

{Scanlation} Hoshikuzu Gakuen C Course (ch1)

New project alert: introducing a short two-volume shoujo manga called Hoshikuzu Gakuen C Course. Apparently, it was ultimately axed after its second volume and the ending is kind of rushed… but haven’t we all seen that happen before? The art is pretty and I think it’ll be a fun and short little project for us to work on.

We hope you enjoy it. We certainly enjoyed working on it. There may be a delay with future chapters, however, as we are still in the process of obtaining raws for the second volume, which isn’t out on Ebook Japan yet. In the meantime, you can enjoy a brief glimpse into the hijinks of a 21-year-old high school student. Oh, not to mention there’s an adorable little boy named Kousuke who’ll just melt your heart.

{Scanlation} Sumikko no Sora-san (ch13)

We aren’t dead—promise!

It’s been a hectic summer. We’ve recently purchased a bunch of new manga, hoping to get them all scanned soon so that we can work on translating/editing ASAP. Please see our Scanlations page to see a detailed list of our new upcoming projects. It’s quite exciting news, and we hope that with our new projects we’ll be able to reel in more recruits. We’re in desperate need of translators to help us lighten our work load.

{Scanlation} Sumikko no Sora-san (ch11+12)

It’s been such a long time since we released anything for Sumikko, that we decided readers and fans were deserving of a double release! Yes, we know, you love us. These chapters took us such a long time since we procrastinated so much, but we finally have them done. “Weight” (chapter 11) and “Memories” (chapter 12) are perfect for a late-Sunday night read. Well, depends on where in the world you are, I suppose.

We are still desperately looking for more recruits! If you are interested in joining Wildflower Scans, please submit an application. No prior experience is required! {Scanlation} Boku to Furusato Restaurant (ch3)

Hey everyone, sorry for the delay!

This chapter was originally supposed to be the start of a joint project between ourselves and Nyxilicious Scans, but the latter has dropped out. However, we’d still like to extend our thanks to the group and Zoe for providing us with translations for this chapter.

Anyway, we’ve all been so busy with school (exams are coming up in less than a month! Yikes!) and personal stuff as well. We haven’t had a whole lot of time for scanlating, but we hope that since summer vacation is just around the corner, we’ll be able to work on our projects more often. Until then, we hope this short release will tide you over.

{Scanlation} Boku to Furusato Restaurant (ch2)

It’s been a while, ladies and gentlemen! The weather has taken a turn for the best; spring is officially here and we’ve been so distracted by the warmth and sunshine we haven’t really been working on scanlating. As you’ve probably noticed, we’ve only been releasing chapters on the weekends. We will most likely continue with this trend, as on weekdays we don’t have a whole lot of time and never really get around to typesetting stuff. We do translate and edit on weekdays though, so there’s that.

Boku no Furusato Restaurant is fun and I’m really excited to see where it goes. I’ve snuck a peek at the raws for the later chapters and I’m really looking forward to seeing the series progress. Editing is a total biatch though, so we’ve left some of the SFX. We usually try to get rid of all the SFX we can; I’m wondering, do you really care whether scanlators leave in the original SFX or do you prefer they edit it out and replace it with English? Personally, we don’t care that much when we’re reading scanlations from other groups but we wanted to hear what you think.
